Lindsay Butler
Lab Director, Lindsay Butler, Ph.D., CCC-SLP is Assistant Professor of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences at UConn. She has a Ph.D. in Linguistics and Cognitive Science from the University of Arizona. She has a M.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Pennsylvania State University and is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. Dr. Butler spent four years as a postdoctoral researcher at Boston University in the Center for Autism Research Excellence and the Neurophotonics Center before coming to UConn. She enjoys spending time with her family and dogs outdoors.

Lisa Esposito
Lisa Esposito is a Master's student in Speech-Language Pathology.
Zachary Cotter
Zachary Cotter is an undergraduate Speech, Language, and Hearing Science major. After graduating UConn he intends to pursue a doctorate in audiology in furtherance of his goal of becoming an audiologist. Zach’s areas of interest include autism, Deafness, and pediatric audiology. Outside of the lab, he enjoys spending time outdoors or playing trombone.
Bri Ashton
Bri is an undergraduate Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences major in the Honors Program pursuing her thesis at the University of Connecticut. She is a caretaker for a non-verbal individual which influenced her interest in Speech. She hopes to learn and find alternative ways for non-verbal individuals to communicate. Outside of the lab, she is a runner, a reader, and a Residential Assistant.
Maren Hill
Maren is an undergraduate Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences Major with minors in Spanish and Human Development Family Studies at the University of Connecticut. Maren is a part of the Honors Program at Uconn and hopes to use her undergraduate degree and research to pursue a career as a Speech Language Pathologist in a school system that also works children who are bilingual. She hopes to help children who often aren’t able to receive the help they need. Outside of the lab, she works at the Student Recreation center, and enjoys walks, fashion, reading, and music.
Emma Larkin
Emma Larkin is a non-degree seeking student currently at UConn. She graduated in 2023 from Simmons University and is taking the next steps by working on applications for master's programs for Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences.
